AURA - Virtual Personal Color Analysis

OVERVIEW

AURA, founded on November 26th, 2023, is a high school startup that helps its customers find the most suitable personal color, restyling their wardrobe for the better.

"Personal Color" was a trending term, but not everyone understood what their color was and what it truly meant in terms of helping in fashion styling for themselves. Personal color consultation services are often costly and not cut out for students's budgets. Knowing that there are not many outstanding establishments providing this consulting service in Hanoi with prices suitable for students, we have created this personal color consulting service, aimed at customers between the ages of 15 and 25, as we believe that personal color is an important factor in the development and self-improvement of people in this age group and that this is also a fertile market that should not be missed.

Its service started in early December and ended in late March as the operators had to focus on finishing their studies. Even so, the results achieved were remarkable for such a young and short-lived business.

​IMPACT & POTENTIAL

In 4 months of operation, AURA achieved certain results and thereby created an impact, big or small, on the community. We have:

  • Increased self-confidence and personal growth in our customers. We helped them understand which colors complement their natural features so they could enhance their appearance, leading to increased self-confidence and self-esteem.

  • Improved fashion and beauty choices. With personalized color guidance provided by us, people can make more informed decisions about their wardrobe, makeup, and accessories, which results in a more cohesive and flattering personal style.

  • Helped save costs, as knowing their best colors can help individuals avoid purchasing clothes and makeup that don't suit them, ultimately saving money by reducing impulse buys and returns.

This business model also holds much potential to develop if it reopens, given that it applies the correct knowledge learned through RMIT's programs:

  • Open up more business opportunities. For example, for local businesses, such as boutiques and salons, partnering with personal color analysts can attract more customers and add value to their services.

  • Create community building by offering workshops and events centered around personal color analysis. They can bring people together, fostering a sense of community and shared interests.

  • Encourage sustainability by promoting the purchase of items that individuals will love and can use for longer periods of time. This will generate mindful consumption and, therefore, reduce beauty and fashion waste.

There is no championship that can be done alone, and I am proud and blessed to introduce the team who had supported me behind this startup business. We may not be strong in quantity, but I am always confident in the quality of our work.
